DIGITAL PROJECTION'S TITAN WINS INFOCOMM / RENTAL & STAGING PRODUCT EXCELLENCE AWARD

ATLANTA, GA (July 9, 2008) - Digital Projection International (DPI), an Emmy® Award-winning manufacturer of high performance projection systems, received a product excellence award at InfoComm 08, the largest professional audiovisual and information communications tradeshow worldwide. The company’s TITAN sx+ 500 received the Best Video Projection Product/High Lumen award on the basis of a readers' poll conducted by Rental & Staging magazine. InfoComm International and NewBay Media L.L.C. created the Rental & Staging Product awards to honor outstanding products that are specifically designed for the rental and staging market.

According to Mike Levi, president of DPI: “Being recognized for excellence by the staging professionals who depend on projection equipment for their clients and their livelihoods is a tremendous honor. When we first conceptualized the TITAN product range, our development team sought a lot of design advice from key customers in the staging community, and we worked hard to incorporate their ideas into the ultimate TITAN platform.” Levi continued, “It is so gratifying to know that the rugged and multi-faceted TITAN product range – now a 12 model product line that truly grew out of a sincere collaboration with our rental and staging customers - has proven to serve the needs and rigors of the market so well.”

As an evolution of the TITAN 500 and 600’s, DPI launched the new TITAN sx+ 700 at InfoComm 08 in Las Vegas, Nevada. The new 700 series offers numerous technological advances, with an upgrade to new, longer life HID lamps, improved contrast in excess of 2000:1, a newly designed optional RapidRig frame with easy to adjust pitch, roll and yaw adjustments, HDMI connectivity with HDCP compliance and standard HD-SDI input compatibility. Augmenting the list of new 700 series enhancements is the extreme mechanical flexibility the platform offers when operated in single lamp mode. Depending on which lamp is selected, 700 series projectors can be rotated, either horizontally or vertically, to project from nearly any angle. This mechanical orientation capability supports portrait displays, tight rear projection environments, multi-head visualization / simulation systems, unique staged sets and virtually any application where extreme projector orientation is required.

In addition to the major enhancements announced above, the new TITAN 700 models offer the class-leading cost of ownership benefits that position the entire TITAN product line ahead of industry standards. By incorporating DP’s exclusive CoolTek™ engineering technologies, each TITAN projector produces maximum lumens while consuming less wattage than competing products. This “Minimum Wattage In, Maximum Lumens Out” principle ensures both a longer life span fo
r key components and lamps, as well as the lowest operational cost.
