“Digital Projection’s customer service, and especially the support provided by my DPI Regional Manager, is incredibly responsive. The combination of great customer service and dynamic projectors gives me the confidence to consider DPI’s projectors for our applications.”
- Chris Hinkle, Director of Media, Prestonwood Baptist Church North

ATLANTA, GA – July 17, 2009 – Prestonwood Baptist Church, one of the largest mega-churches in North America, recently selected three Digital Projection LIGHTNING and two HIGHlite displays for their Main and North Campuses. The new, powerful projectors allow Prestonwood to communicate with their congregations in different locations through real-time simulcasts.

With a 7,000-seat Main Campus Worship Center and 1,500-seat North Campus Worship Center, Prestonwood needed the ability to engage both congregations simultaneously. Adding the DPI projectors has allowed head pastor Dr. Jack Graham to appear live at the North location, while still reaching all members regardless of which campus they’re attending.

Prestonwood’s Main Campus enlists two 20,000 lumen LIGHTNING 40-1080p projectors by way of 19' tall x 28' wide screens that frame the stage. An HD switcher acts as the primary video source for the two screens. The North Campus enlists one LIGHTNING 40HD on the center screen and two HIGHlite 12000 projectors on screens that frame the stage. A Kayak SD switcher provides source signals to the two HIGHlites, while a ScreenPro-II supplies content to the center LIGHTNING. Each projector is connected directly to its source through fiber by way of DVI-D extenders.

The reaction to Prestonwood’s new technological abilities has been, in the words of Chris Hinkle, Director of Media for Prestonwood Baptist Church North, “exactly what we hoped for.” Hinkle continued, “DPI’s projectors allow us to communicate more effectively and efficiently with today’s technology-driven society.”

Digital Projection International will be exhibiting their full range of powerful, efficient and responsible DLP projectors at the upcoming InfoComm tradeshow in Orlando, Florida at booth number 2861.
