Since 1962, the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), a bipartisan, nonprofit global think tank, has hosted hundreds of collaboration sessions to work through and solve some of the world's greatest policy challenges. The Center was needing to replace an aging physical and technological infrastructure that the organization had outgrown. Their new facility needed to be able to propel them into the next 50 years as an organization and needed to be technologically modern, easy to use and have room to grow. In addition to having a world class look and feel, the facility needed to be able to support a range of conferencing needs whether on premise or via global teleconference.

CSIS solved its problem with a new 128,000 square foot facility that features a two-story AMX by HARMAN-powered conference space; multiple visitor and staff meeting rooms; modern, flexible office space to support the growing staff; and state-of-the-art conferencing and AV facilities. The building's conferencing and AV distribution solution was anchored on a single, simple to use interface that could be carried throughout the facility by a single staff member to manage all of their conferences. Now staffers can walk up to a conference room and easily launch a conference using a 7" AMX Touch Panel as well as being able to access meeting support documents and media from a PC during presentations. In addition, all of the Center's conference rooms and AV infrastructure are now fully integrated. The Center's scholars can now go to the integrated studio facility to be interviewed from any media outlet in the world, a capability that was previously impossible.

"Our new building represents the best of CSIS; modern, forward-looking, collaborative and inviting. This is a place where CSIS will continue to help decision makers chart a course toward a better world."
   - John J. Hamre, CSIS president, CEO and Pritzker chair
