Seattle’s Decibel Festival had another stellar year in 2009, celebrating electronic music performance, visual art and new media.
Held at 14 different venues across the city, including main venues at the Olympic Sculpture Park and Volunteer Park, the festival ran from Sep. 24th through Sep. 27th. Over 100 performers from 10 different countries gathered at the event, now in its sixth year.
Two Dynacord Cobra 2 portable line array loudspeaker systems delivered an awesome combination of low-end power, precise coverage and high-end intelligibility for the outdoor stages. A Dynacord CMS 1000 controlled the mix. Lending support for monitors and small-format mains on the other stages were Electro-Voice Tour X passive and SxA250, ZXA5 & SxA360 full-range powered boxes. New EV Q1212 lightweight, high-performance amps provided power. On the input end, an EV REV Dual wireless system and N/D767a wired microphones were used.
