ORLANDO, Fla. (InfoComm, Booth # 1942) – June 15, 2011 – Epson, the number-one selling projector brand worldwide1, today announced two projectors received “Best in Classroom” awards in the annual Classroom Projector Report from Projector Reviews, a leading AV technology research, product review and advice website. The BrightLink 455Wi won in the interactive projector category for its image quality, resolution and many easy to use interactive features. The PowerLite 96W won in the non-interactive projector category for its image quality and advanced feature set, including HDMI, USB Plug ‘n Play, price, and advanced networking and optional wireless.

“The Epson BrightLink 455Wi and PowerLite 96W stand out as top products in the education projector market for their great color, brightness, extensive networking, excellent input and output flexibility, and advanced feature sets,” said Art Feierman, editor, Projector Reviews. “I believe interactive projectors are a powerful new tool for learning and information retention, and the BrightLink 455Wi is the most advanced interactive projector available, with solid, well thought out, easy to use features. And the PowerLite 96W packs a lot of punch for its price and has a lot to offer the K-12 educator.”

“These two ‘Best in Classroom’ awards underscore Epson’s dedication to providing high-quality, relevant and reliable products that are designed to be easy to use by teachers and students alike,” said Heather Litus Johnston, product manager, K-12 Education Marketing, Epson America, Inc. “With intuitive, feature-rich and affordable technology solutions, teachers can truly deliver interactive and exciting classroom lessons, and further enrich the learning experience.”

BrightLink offers installation flexibility by providing a wide range of XGA and WXGA usable interactive areas, and features 2,500 lumens color and white light output2 and native WXGA resolution (16:10 aspect ratio) for full compatibility with widescreen notebooks and visual content.

The PowerLite 96W is a budget-friendly projector offering 2700 lumens color and white light output with WXGA resolution, allowing teachers to fully leverage widescreen notebooks or tablets and widescreen DVD content.
